I am a recent graduate from Loughborough University, where I studied Textiles: Innovation and Design and specialised in weaving. I always aim to inject my love of the process into my work. My designs are vibrant and graphic with a strong emphasis on colour, a combination resulting in unique statement pieces.
Having grown up in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, I gain a lot of inspiration from my natural surroundings, often focusing in on individual plants or environments. To me, the natural world is a source of inspiration that never stops giving and I think the simple beauty is something that appeals to all of us on a very fundamental level. I have also developed a strong interest in sustainable and ethical textiles practices, which I implement into my projects. This is largely in relation to materials research as all the yarns I use are vegan, and organic or recycled wherever possible. I am passionate about the work I create and allow it to infuse itself into every aspect of my life. Whilst studying, I also completed a placement year, which enabled me to broaden my experience within the industry. Please visit the Contact page to request a copy of my CV. |
